Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of ramp should I get?*
This depends on the kind of home you have and if you need the ramp for a short period of time or if it is needed for the rest of your life. If you rent a home or only need the ramp for like a year or two, modular ramps would probably be best. Where as a permanent ramp would be better for homes you own or if you need the ramp for the rest of your life and do not plan on moving. However, it all depend on what you personally want and like.
What are the differences between a modular and permanent ramp?*
There are not a lot of differences between the two types of ramps, since modular ramps can be made permanent. However, modular ramps are best suited for going over your preexisting stairs, so no major construction is done to the front of your home. Permanent ramps are meant to replace your stairs and usually require the removal of the stairs completely.
Why can’t I use a portable ramp to get from my front door to the ground?*
The reason most portable ramps are not used to go from the front door to the ground is due to stairs being in the way. Also, when portable ramps are used to go from the front door to the ground there is no way to secure them in the case of a windstorm making it a liability issue for you because if the ramp is blown off it can cause damage to your property and/or possibly your neighbors property. Portable ramps are only to be use TEMPORARILY and to take things in an out of homes or vehicles.
If I only have one small step, do I really need a whole ramp system to be safe?*
No. If you only have one small step leading into your home a ramp is definitely not needed. For a situation like this, there are products called transition pieces that are made of heavy duty rubber that can be used and are a lot better priced.
