Frequently Asked Questions

Does my insurance cover mobility devices?
Yes, most insurances cover manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs and some scooters. However, most scooters and recreational scooters are not covered!

What is the difference between a scooter and a power wheelchair?
There are a lot of differences but the main differences are the steering and weight. Scooters also come apart and can fit in a most car trunk, where power wheelchairs can not. Power wheelchairs usually require a lift be placed on or in your car.

What is the difference between scooters my insurance might cover and the recreational scooters?
The reason insurance companies cover some scooters is because they are to be used inside the home only to meet most if not all of your medical necessities. Also, recreational scooters are for outdoor use only and usually do not fit inside most homes.

Do you provide custom fitted manual wheelchairs or power chairs?
Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to fulfill orders for custom wheelchairs and power wheelchairs, but we can refer you to a company that does.
